We are here (and not asleep)!!!

Well, it's 5:00am here in Seoul and Auden has been wide awake watching Daniel Tiger on the iPad for the past hour.  We all got a few hours sleep but our room is hot and the windows are open so we hear all the street noise which we aren't used to.  We can't believe we meet Grant in 4 hours!!!  Who can sleep with that excitement anyway?

So the plane ride was smooth, with the exception that we have the only 4 yr old alive that wasn't excited to watch Frozen or the Lego movie on his personal TV because they are too scary for him.  Just kidding we love our sensitive little Auden and between some different shows and the iPad he did very well on the plane.  By the time they ended up serving the last meal and we had him lay down and go to sleep it only gave him about 4 hours of sleep before we arrived in Seoul.  He was a little sleepy in the airport through customs and the taxi ride to the agency but then we decided to do quick showers and look for dinner around 8pm.  I'm not sure if Cody had him take a shower or gave him 15 cans of Redbull in the bathroom because all of a sudden he became energetic and bouncing off the walls after the shower.  It was a side of deliriousness from lack of sleep that we've never had the pleasure of seeing in him before.  We had to tell him 10 times to put his clothes on instead of running around naked in the room then when we got outside on the street he was literally skipping and jumping down the side walk (which makes it impossible to hold hands!).  He was saying "Ah-young!" (Hi!) to every little kid and dog he saw and would randomly shout "I love Korea" at times.  Then when we found a place to get take out food he was accidentally knocking over various knickknacks they had in the place.  It sounds all very funny but with Cody and I exhausted we were just trying to get him back to the room and calm him down as soon as possible.  He finally fell asleep at 11pmish.  So, the meeting with Grant should be interesting to say the least.  We will be hitting up Dunkin Donuts at 8am:-)

Here are some pictures of the room we are staying in for the next week at the agency before we move to the "fancy" hotel.  It's simple but pretty spacious and comfortable.  We are on 4th floor with a communal kitchen and dining area with other families in our same boat, the babies in the nursery are right below us on the 3rd floor (where the babies stay until matched with foster mom), and our meeting with Grant is on the 1st floor.  When you get in like we did "after hours" you have to go to the security guard in the back to let you in.  He did not know any English and believe me, it was worth it alone to come "after hours" to watch Cody mime that our room is hot and we need a fan (picture him fanning himself, pretending he is sweating and then the mouth blowing to pretend he is a oscillating fan).  He obviously doesn't have a career as a mime to fall back on because he finally had to rummage through a random closet to find one himself.

All in all, we are doing good, just sleepy, but the excitement of meeting our little guy in a few hours will get us through!
